SALON ASSISTANT

As a stylist assistant at HGLS, your main goal is to help and assist the stylist(s) you are teamed up with. Prepping the client as much as possible until they get serviced. This would include shampoo, blow dry, removals, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Perform safe and clean work
• Preparing clients for treatment.
• Shampooing client's hair.
• Disinfecting equipment.
• Sweeping floors.
• Folding towels.
• Keeping the salon clean and tidy.
• Assisting Hair Stylists.
• Check the cleaning chart daily - ensuring your daily task is complete
• Develop ongoing relationship with clients
• Communicates clearly and has strong active listening skills
• Open to learning new techniques and perfecting current skills
• Capture content of before and afters

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must know how to braid (TRAINING IS PROVIDED) 
• Ability to multitask at all times
• Ability to work in a high paced salon environment

Perks:

• Starting 12.50 per hour or commission base plus 100% of tips directly to the artist
• Salary increase after 1 years’ service and more after 2 years of service or quicke
